LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD0745000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard. Responsibilities As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-0346-9, you will interpret war plans to determine CRG tasking requirements and responsibilities. Develop and implement training requirements to ensure CRG personnel are prepared to support war contingency plans, CRG mission requirements and other mobility responsibilities. Participate in site surveys of wartime and peacetime deployment locations. Advise CRG commanders and the wing commander on all aspects of CRG functions as they relate to mission readiness. Serve as the primary custodian for all CRG vehicles, furniture, equipment and supply accounts. Monitor and administer unit mobility equipment and supply programs to include the requisition, inventory, turn-in and repair of unit equipment, equipment maintenance, etc. Responsible for unit fund management. Act as pay and travel budget and accounting system manager for the CRG. Plan, coordinate, manage and implement CRG training. Coordinate with recruiters to fill CRG vacancies and career advancement possibilities. Coordinate military personnel matters with CBPO. Compile records and process personnel actions. Provide the Deputy Commander for Operations and the CRG commander with technical support in developing and maintaining unit readiness. Maintain training records and ensure members receive required job qualification standard (JQS) training. Act as the primary communications-security (COMSEC) custodian. Ensure proper handling and storage of all classified material and equipment. When operating as a deployed cadre member, monitor aircraft movement, parking, refueling, on/off loading operations and forward required reports and messages to higher headquarters. Responsible for implementing the quick reaction checklist during emergency conditions. Responsible for preparing mission support team (MST) kits, publications and flip library. Accomplish aircrew control duties. Provide load planning assistance. Responsible for the daily management of office and administrative functions. Attend conferences, briefings, and meetings as required to determine the CRG impact, and to represent the commander. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Military Grades: TSgt(E6)-MSgt(E7) RANK REQUIREMENT: Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation. Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices related to logistics. Experience planning and organizing work assignments. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment.
