We are searching for a talented Logistics and distribution leader responsible for getting goods to the right place at the right time.

Your role is to organize the storage and distribution of goods. You'll ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will also be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.

In this position, you will be also responsible for all supply chain management duties including managing load planning/diagraming teams, managing dispatch teams, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and analyzing freight data.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail to oversee daily operations and logistics employees. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics.

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

LOGISTICS:

Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory. Monitor and manage budgets. Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers. Respond to and resolve complaints and problems. Keep up to date on shipping carriers, routes and rates and any changes to them. Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle Evaluate performance and quality and plan improvements. Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems, and producing new solutions. Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures. Implement health and safety procedures. Plan and manage optimization projects. Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates. Manage logistics personnel. Respond to any issues or complaints. Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers. Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations. Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements. Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and SOX requirements.

 

ITRADE

 

Plan and implement all import transportation strategies according to all supplier and customer demand and administer internal movement of all goods and ensure compliance with all government regulations. Partner with suppliers and inventory planners and ensure accurate movement of all international goods and ensure arrival of goods within required timeframe and obtain best freight rates at all times Design and review all SOPs for the import department and ensure compliance to all ISO guidelines and prepare reports to be submitted to government agencies. Provide all insurance on shipments and design and execute all corrective action plans for processes.

 

PROFILE

 

Integrity & Accountability – Operate with highest ethical standards Bachelor's degree in business/Logistics/Transportation +8 years of experience in Warehouse, distribution and import process. Results-orientated, creative, practical, analytical, attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team-player. Demonstrated ability for sound decision making while working under pressure in critical situations. SAP / S4H. Excel expertise level English fluently.
