Logistics Manager
Under general supervision of the Director of Supply Chain Operations, the Logistics Manager will ensure that productivity and operational goals are met in order to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. Individual will be working in a dynamic environment that focuses on delivering continuous measurable improvement to the customer. The Logistics Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain Operations Management Team. The Logistics Manager will lead the logistics department managing the day-to-day execution while also focusing on larger cross-functional project initiatives. The Logistics Manager will be managing in a dynamic environment that focuses on delivering continuous measurable improvement to our internal customers. Compensation Range: $115,000 -- $125,000 salary + 10% Bonus Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide tactical leadership to the Logistics department of Supply Chain Operations. * Manage and mentor logistics employees -- including drivers and administrative staff, by identifying and resolving issues including performance, attendance, new employee training, and code of conduct violations. * Work with Supply Chain Management Team to develop strategic plans to improve the efficiency and productivity of the logistics department. * Optimize fleet performance and financial objectives -- including current and future tractors/trailers, and equipment. * Work with Supply Chain Senior Analyst to support incentive based performance management through tracking and reporting metrics. * Provide support to the Director of Supply Chain Operations regarding employee career development, and overall staffing strategy. * Establish safety and compliance governance within Logistics department; including safety management and reporting, vehicle maintenance and tracking, DOT compliance, IFTA compliance etc. * Other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications: * 5 Years of experience managing in a logistics, warehouse or distribution environment. * Experience with evolving DOT regulations, IFTA, OSHA, and all related safety regulations. * Ability to create project plans and oversee assignments from inception to completion. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in purchasing of vehicles -- Tractor Trailers. * Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or related field. * Experience working in a retail-based company. * Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems. * Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality. * Ability to handle multiple activities and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * Ability to work in a changing environment. Working Conditions: Work hours are typically 7:30am -- 5:00pm; Monday-Friday (onsite), some additional time may be required on evening and weekend.
