Logistics Manager

Quanex is looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team located in Trumann, AR.

Will oversee and perform diversified duties pertaining to traffic/logistics planning and transportation arrangements for domestic and international shipments of Company products, materials, and components.

What Success Looks Like:

Ensure compliance with new commerce rules and regulations in the U.S. and internationally. Knowledge of US and international shipping regulations of hazardous materials. Communicate with carrier representatives to address and resolve carrier issues. Maintain oversight of traffic functions in multiple locations. Ensure processes are consistent between facilities, and policy and procedures are met. Provide expertise to facilitate day-to-day functioning of the shipping process. Initiate safeguards to protect shipments from loading point to destination. Supervise the shipping dock, ensuring products properly received and shipped. Prepare on-time shipping results and provide information appropriate individuals. Create daily shipping end of day (EOD) report carrier exception report and distribute. Responsible for the shipment pictures section of the VOC (Voice of the Customer) program. Ensure resolution of all transportation-related issues for shipments. Oversee freight logistics program and shipping issues resolution process and provide analysis. Address customer issues regarding concealed damage, and damage to high-value items. Review and process debits/credits for reconsignments, for checks received for damage claims. Act as liaison UPS Supply Chain for annual reconciliation process, and for resolution. Research and recommend ways to reduce freight costs and implement approved plans. Undertake special traffic-related projects as appropriate to improve cost-effectiveness. Extensive knowledge of shipping large, heavy, items, which frequently require careful handling. Train on compliance with all international shipping requirements.

Your Credentials:

5+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, leadership in the manufacturing industry Bachelor's degree Supply Chain, Logistics or Business preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of NMFC numbering system Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 bonus potential.
