Logistics Manager
**ger (FN)** The Logistics Manager will be based at one of the Amentum locations in Iraq. This position will report directly to BLiSS Site Manager. The Logistics Manager will be empowered as the Acting BLiSS Site Manager when the Site Manager is leave for an extended period and will exercise sound judgement in making decisions by understanding operational requirements, the available resources, options, and analyzing the operational impacts – both short term and long term. The Logistics Manager will consider and engage all stakeholders to help insure the most effective solutions to problems and maintain open and continuous communications and updates as appropriate. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. **DUTIES:** Be responsible for all BLiSS Logistics support operations, to include: + Procurement – generate requisitions and maintain status trackers; source vendors and pricing as required. + Inventory Management – maintain all materials storage areas; track material receipts and issues; conduct fulfillment of materials to other departments; ensure that all physical inventories and records are maintained and accurate. + Property Management – will be primary point of contact to insure that property records and required documentation are maintained and compliant with requirements and SOP’s. + Compile and submit daily, weekly, and other reports as required. These can include and are not limited to accountability reports, personnel trackers, timesheets, and other ad hoc reporting as needed. + Develop a broad understanding and knowledge of all BLiSS functional operations and staff. + Crosstrain to assist or facilitate with issues or support requirements in all areas. Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when required. + Serve as the chief records administrator to support and ensure that all departments are compliant with documentation requirements. Manage record retention and organize and establish access for records and reports – both hard copies and electronic files. + Oversee the BEC Transportation department potable/non-potable water delivery, shuttle operations and roll off dumpster and waste management services. Oversee sub-contract performance of daily black water service, trash removal, chemical latrine service, airfield sweeping and grease (FOG) removal. Implement and monitor daily service audits to ensure the required services are performed by the sub-contractor performing waste removal at the BEC. Coordinate with the Site Manager and Amentum subcontracting office to address any issues and concerns related to the subcontractor's performance services. Monitor and ensure sub-contractor personnel deliver the required logistical service outlined in the subcontractor's SOW. + Safety - Evaluates, plans, and administers already established training programs, as well as other safety procedures. Train personnel on KPI surveys and other monthly due outs. Track safety observations for all departments under BLiSS. Plans and coordinates safety classes as needed. Conduct employee training working with the EHS department. Ensure departments are complaint and maintain records for safety KPIs. + Act as a Safety Advocate by regularly attending BEC BLISS department safety meetings, participates in safety discussions, listens to employees' concerns, and identify any needed tools, PPE, or materials to perform their work safely. Coordinate with ESH team to deliver safety training and address any identified gaps. Reports any issues to BLISS Site Operations Manager. Conducts Safety Standdowns in the BEC BLISS departments as needed. Collaborate with BEC BLISS QC and department managers and supervisors to address any pending corrective actions. + Promote a safety-first culture, encouraging proactive hazard identification and reporting. + Perform other duties as assigned. **REQUIRED:** + **Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:** + Four (4) years prior work experience in waste management or transportation in an overseas US Government support contract environment. + Two (2) Years working in a supervisory/management capacity supporting overseas operations in a diverse and multicultural environment + Must poses a drivers License Class D and heavy trucks + Experience or familiarity with logistics or supply chain management – specifically, with inventory management and purchasing/procurement functions. + **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + High level abilities with office productivity computer software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, others. + Familiarity with US government property accountability requirements, waste management and transportation Logistics. + Must have working knowledge of OSHA regulations for safety in an overseas working environment. + **Education:** A high school diploma or GED. + **Passport, Licenses and Certifications:** As part of pre-contingency requirements, **by the time the visa process starts** , candidates must possess a valid passport of home country with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers’ license from Home of Record. + **Security Vetting:** Already possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract. + **Language Skills:** An ability to clearly and effectively communicate both written and verbally- in the English language is required along with the skills and ability to interact with a wide range of amentum staff, customers and the general population. + **Medical:** Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination. **DESIRED:** + 10 Hours OSHA Certification. + Experience with data bases. + Previous out of home country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions are a plus. + Experience working with Amentum. + Experience working with a multi-national workforce. + Strong work ethic and attention to detail. **OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:** + Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility. + Experience providing excellent customer services. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules. + Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team. + Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change. + Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
