**About the Program**
The Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE) Program is a 5-year, Government of Australia (GoA) investment to support the Government of Papua New Guinea (GoPNG) improve the delivery of access to and quality of education for the children of PNG. The expected end-of-investment outcomes (EOIO) for the PIE investment are:
+ Targeted Outcome 1: More children (girls, boys, and children with disabilities) in the early grades enrol and stay in school in selected sub-national locations using replicable and sustainable approaches
+ Targeted Outcome 2: Targeted sub-national locations are using sustainable and replicableapproaches to support improvements in the quality of teaching and learning in the early grades
+ Enabling Outcome 3: Evidence of systemic change within the education sector that improves the delivery of early grades education.
**About the Opportunity**
The PIE Logistics Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of program activities by providing logistical and operational support. This includes organising travel, events, and workshops, managing inventory and supplies, and supporting the coordination of fieldwork activities. The Logistics Officer will work closely with the MERLA Coordinator and other program staff to ensure efficiency and compliance with PIE’s operational and safeguarding policies.
**Key responsibilities**
**Logistics and Operations Coordination**
+ Organise and manage travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, and transport for program staff and partners.
+ Support the coordination of events, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring venues, materials, and other requirements are arranged in advance.
+ Manage inventory, ensuring the timely procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies to provincial teams.
+ Facilitate the delivery of materials and equipment to field locations, coordinating with local stakeholders as necessary.
**Administrative Support**
+ Maintain accurate records of logistical operations, including vehicle logs, procurement documents, and reports.
+ Assist in processing and tracking invoices, receipts, open Pos and other operational expenses.
+ Ensure compliance with PIE’s financial, operational, and safeguarding policies in all logistical activities.
**Support for MERLA and Program Teams**
+ Provide logistical support for data collection and field visits conducted by the MERLA and program teams.
+ Assist in the timely distribution of tools, equipment, and resources required for monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.
**Risk and Safeguarding Compliance**
+ Monitor and address potential logistical risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
+ Promote and adhere to safeguarding policies in all logistical operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of program staff, participants, and beneficiaries.

**About You**
For applications to be considered, a response to the key selection criteria below must be provided.
+ Clearly indicate which location you are applying for (Buka, Port Moresby or Vanimo) and advise where you are currently based.
+ Relevant tertiary qualification or relevant experience in administration, project management, social science and/ or another relevant discipline.
+ Demonstrated over 3 years working experience in the corporate environment
+ Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing administrative, travel and logistics duties
+ Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills in English and Tok Pisin.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Outlook, MS Word, and Excel.
+ An understanding of the reporting requirements of government and donors.
