Logistics Operations Lead

Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Logistics Operations Lead to provide analytical and project execution support to Logistics function as part of Cintas Global Supply Chain organization. Responsibilities will include monthly/quarterly operational and financial reporting, logistics/transportation sourcing, market intelligence reporting, business analyses to find cost savings and process improvement opportunities and support implementation of projects across supply chain organization.

 

Other responsibilities include: 

Develop, update and monitor key performance indicators and key financial metrics or dashboards, highlighting trends and analyzing variances, to understand and be able to communicate transportation financials.  

Provide senior leadership with in-depth financial analysis of actual spend to drive insights on trends, opportunities to optimize costs and drive better decision making.  

Support monthly financial close related activities for transportation including data validation from freight bill pay provider, GL coding, resolve invoice disputes to ensure accuracy and compliance.  

Perform analysis and provide recommendations to support cost reduction and process improvements for various modes of transportation including Truckload, LTL, Small Parcel and Ocean.  

Support managers in the department with day-day shipping issues related to third party logistics provider, transportation carriers, freight forwarders and internal customers. 

Collaborates with cross-functional teams including strategic sourcing, production planning, distribution, trade compliance, field operations, finance/accounting and other divisions at multiple levels. 

Ability to integrate and analyze data from multiple data sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, analyze data to support freight spend optimization. 

This position offers a hybrid schedule of 1 work from home day a week. 

Skills/Qualifications

Required 

Computer Skills 

           Advanced Excel 

           Access and SQL required. 

          Working Knowledge of TMS platform (MercuryGate, Manhattan or Blue Yonder) 

Analytical Skills 

          Analyze and utilize data to resolve issues/potential issues. 

Detail Orientation 

          Thoroughly execute all planning functions, including investigations, problem solving, and communication. 

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline  Must be authorized to work in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
