Purpose of Position

Results-driven position with quality, operations, and project management duties. Role will work on wide range of projects across Warehouse, Storeroom, and Logistics. Will work directly with Corning Incorporated’s Stores and Warehouse department manager and team members, as well as internal customers, staff groups, and external vendors to meet department objectives.  Supports special projects as assigned.

 

Key Responsibilities

Plan and support Stores and Warehouse department projects, while adhering to established policies and processes to meet customer requirements Support development and launch of department strategy initiatives Facilitate the quality assurance processes within the department and ensure that processes meet the established standards of quality, reliability, and performance Promote quality performance improvements throughout the organization Coordinate and support department supplier auditing program Gain an understanding of Stores and Warehouse department, Shipping & Receiving, Warehouse, and Mail/Print Center operations to provide support as needed Facilitate meetings with multiple staff, organizing agendas, preparing materials, taking notes, and advancing action plans Support department continuous improvement activities including new technology and procedural changes to improve process and/or equipment Develop professional working relationships with team, customer base and vendors  Gain an understanding of department’s technology platforms (i.e., SharePoint, SC Logic, SOP’s, MSFT Teams, FORMS, OneDrive, and Maximo) for Stores, Warehouse, and department assignments Contribute to department key performance metrics program to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness Work with internal procurement to assist in the management of department suppliers Assist department supervisors to control Stores and Warehouse budgets to deliver value for the company and customers Participate in department inspections and audits (safety, cleanliness, space efficiency gains) Assist in identifying and implementing department cost reduction opportunities

Hours of Work / Travel Requirements

8am – 5pm, M-F Candidate located in Corning, NY area Periodic travel might be required

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree PEx Green Belt desirable Project management experience

The range for this position is  $48,606.00   -  $66,833.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
