Logistics Specialist, Infrastructure Delivery
Description AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities - Receiving, stowing and picking, packaging and shipping, sorting and counting of parts - Ensuring inventory accuracy and availability - Coordination with internal customers, vendors and procurement team for optimal inventory level - Storage facility management and administration A day in the life - Work on part requests from different technician teams and supply chain stakeholders - Manage courier vendors to deliver or pick up shipments - Stow parts according to requirements and make allocation, pack and dispatch parts for transfer - Review stock level and keep an accurate record for all attributes in inventory systems - Administer warehouse and datahalls to ensure parts stay at the right place - Return faulty parts and dispose obsolete inventory with vendors - 9 to 6 weekday work at data center with technicians as the only Logistics Specialist per site About the team Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences. Basic Qualifications - 1+ years of working experience, willingness to perform regular physical tasks of receiving, stowing, picking, packing and shipping - Understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory and warehousing practices - Good written and verbal communication skills in English, willingness to work in different site locations upon request Preferred Qualifications - 1+ years of hands-on experience in logistics and warehouse operations, relevant Educational Background in Logistics or Supply Chain, and Bachelor Degree - Experience with inventory management systems, inventory reporting, experience with Remedy or similar ticketing operations - Experience with process documentation - Knowledge of IT hardware and data center - Understanding of safe manual handling Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
