We have an immediate opening for a Logistics Specialist. In this role you will assist in the safe and timely receiving, packing, storage, transport, labeling, and loading of products while ensuring compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.

Responsibilities:

Support multiple departments to find optimal and cost-effective routes for shipping, by requesting freight rates from contracted logistics service providers (LSPs) 

Create freight and warehousing cost forecast from source data such as SAP, financial operating systems, and aggregate supply plans 

Review and analyze monthly freight and warehousing costs to identify reasons for increases/decreases, outliers and improvement opportunities 

Investigator and main point of contact for logistics, transportation, and warehousing issues that arise for inbounds and outbounds for North America 

Main point of contact to file complaints and claims against logistics service provider for compensation 

Analyze and review warehouse/logistics metrics from multiple sources including PowerBI, GCAP, and LSP performance data, and create visualizations to present in monthly global logistics and global supply meetings

Investigate, review, and close warehouse/logistics complaints entered in Salesforce

Review, enter, and ensure appropriate investigations of all distribution incidents (Cority system)

Present and provide Salesforce Complaint data to find root cause and corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence   

Compose NA freight rate data from various sources to support product management

Compile and provide annual business forecasts by mode to procurement for TL, LTL, Package Ocean, Air, and Dray

Facilitate bi-weekly warehouse meetings to review upcoming shipments and ensure processes are effective and streamlined and to identify any transportation/capacity issues (critical for month-end / quarter-end)

Lead and oversee the traction of various projects

Value Map streaming

Maintain warehouse master file

Ensure inventory counts are executed accurately and timely per the schedule and compliant with policy

Qualifications

BS/BA degree or above or Equivalent experience

3-4 years of experience in customer service, supply chain, logistics, production planning role, SAP competency role

Six Sigma principles with Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or Black Belt Certification preferred

Experienced in utilizing SAP required

Experience using Advanced Planning Optimizer (APO), Business Warehouse (BW), PowerBI preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

APICS CPIM certification preferred
