Our client, a transportation and logistics company is looking to hire a Logistics Specialist. The ideal candidate will need experience in writing routine reports and correspondence. Responsibilities include taking check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will be delivered on time; and validating all load data before marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes.

The Day-to-Day:

Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer systemUpdate account managers on problem loads and what actions have been taken; update receivers and customers on the status of loadsMonitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good conditionInvestigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentationSchedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managersProvide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED1 year of logistics experienceGeneral knowledge of the transportation industryThe ability to type at least 40 wpmComputer knowledge (Word, Excel, especially)

Pay Rate/Shifts:

$19.00 /hrMonday to Friday or Monday to Thursday7:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM
