Coordinate logistics and customs operations for equipment and services, ensuring smooth transactions with both internal and external customers and suppliers. Possesses a strong understanding of relevant concepts, methods, procedures, and approaches. Focuses on coordinating processes and guaranteeing timely deliveries.
As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Coordinate import and export processes with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and bonded warehouses, port and airport terminals to ensure flawless execution.Analyze import/export processes to identify methods for improving efficiency and reducing costs.Ensure all filings, shipment documents, and regulatory reporting are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with trade laws.Develop and monitor customs and logistics performance indicators, seeking opportunities to improve cycle time, lead time, and cost savings. Identify logistics solutions to guarantee optimal lead time and cost.Maintain strong interfaces with Tax, Legal, Finance, ITC, Planning, Project Management, Product Lines, and Operations teams.Support internal clients with import/export operations, special regimes, new projects, bids, tenders, and contracts.Keep SOPs, RACI, flows, standard Shipping Instructions, and procedures updated.Review procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum cost.Monitor shipment flow from origin until to final delivery.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / International Trade / International Relationship / Economy / Accounting / Law / Logistics from an accredited university or college.Knowledge on International Trade systemFluent in English and Spanish, desirable Experience in International LogisticsHave an additional experience in Customs OperationsDesired Characteristics
Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasksKnowledge on SAP, Oracle, Ecomex International Logistics experience in O&G industry.Knowledge in dangerous goods shipmentsHigh energy levelStrong skills in relationship buildingStrong oral/interpersonal and written communication skillsTeamwork abilitiesManage of Microsoft Office, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)Work in a way that works for you
