Thermo Fisher Scientific acquired FEI Company in September of 2016 as a part of the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) in the newly-formed Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD).

The Mission:

The Shop floor controller is a contact point for logistics in the cleanroom. He / she keeps overview of material flows during production and testing. When specific situations require more detailed knowledge the shop floor controller connects available authorities from engineering, logistics or manufacturing to the task.

Key performance indicators:

The on time delivery of available items from the warehouse to the factory;The complete delivery of items and assemblies from the factory to the warehouse;The complete registration of items within the factory;Work order maintenance in ERP (QAD);

Specific responsibilities are:

Books items and orders, work order management;Monitors production capacity;Is setting work order priorities in line with customer demand;Monitors accelerator location- and system matching;Registers and guides lost items, mutations and configuration changes in systems;Performs cycle counts in the cleanroom;Maintains product code lists for sub-assembliesJoins production whiteboard meetingUses glass wall reporting on production logistic activities, implementing (lean) improvements where possibleBringing production and logistics on close communication levelAttends accelerator whiteboard meetingAdvances issues to logistics or other departments if requiredBacks up other colleagues

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

An MBO+ education in engineering or production logistics required or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrate the required skills;Required technical knowledge; Cleanliness and cleanroom working;

Required interactions that would demonstrate ability to efficiently do this role:

Take initiative;Seek issues;Take initiative, take the lead;On the spot problem solving;Experience with reporting/improving logistic processes; Able to see through abstract BOM structures;

Required knowledge of software packages and planning systems used to do the job efficiently:

QAD ERP, Serena Business Manager, Microsoft Office (spreadsheets and presentations)

Communications requirements:

Writing and verbal communication skills in technical English and Dutch;Excellent interpersonal skills;
