Position Summary:

This is a highly visible, key position responsible for managing all Transportation and Trade Compliance (Import and Export) with-in Everon Supply chain operations. This includes managing domestic and international parcel and freight shipments, between Everon suppliers (indirect and direct), distribution centers, and all Everon branch operation offices (close to 100 sites). This position will also implement and manage company trade compliance objectives relating to import/export control, Customs compliance, and trade security.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

Responsible for maintaining relationships with all Everon transportation carriers; monitoring carrier SLA’s and KPI’s to ensure their compliance. Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators to ensure the Branch, Suppliers, and Carrier networks are adhering to all transportation guidelines. Implement carrier performance and tracking metrics ensuring carriers are compliant to all established transportation lead times. Set up transportation accounts with various carriers. Set up user access for carrier accounts. Monitor internal communications for transportation needs, requests, and updates. Work with transportation carriers and 3PL logistics provider to obtain requested status updates. Monitor corrective actions required for non-compliance of transportation guidelines by Everon strategic carriers and suppliers. Maintains transportation cost reduction programs related to carrier mode selection, consolidation of international shipments, etc. Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for Everon Transportation and Trade Compliance planning processes and programs. Manage and monitor compliance of the Everon freight payment process. Supports the strategy for import/export control, with emphasis on company-wide compliance to U.S. Customs Regulations, applicable export control regulations (e.g., Export Administration Regulations, Foreign Trade Statistical Regulations) and maintaining Tier 3 status in the U.S. Assigns proper tariff and export control classification to company products in compliance with the applicable regulations. Supports the Customs & Border Protection (CBP) C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) trade security program. Provide status updates to stakeholder management and provide guidance and assistance to functional leaders regarding relevant import/export control regulations and integration of regulatory requirements into business plans and processes. Identifies cost savings opportunities (e.g., compliant application of duty-free provisions relating to import transactions) relating to trade compliance. Coordinates front-line communications with Customs officials and related government agencies affecting company exports and imports.

 

Education:

4 Year college degree (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field) preferred. Licensed Customs Broker preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Background in Logistics, Transportation, Trade Compliance, Sourcing and Supply Chain. Strong analytical abilities. Extensive knowledge on all modes of transportation – Parcel, LTL, Truck load, and international (Container and LCL shipments) 3 years of Transportation Management experience Detail oriented, meticulous. Extreme accuracy. Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities. Ability to drive change management across organizations not within direct line of organizational reporting. Collaborative skills in resolving long –term and short-term Transportation issues – internally and externally. Stays current in all trends within the industry, leading practices, and cost drivers (internal and external).
