Our NORAD Operations Group

 

Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

 

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided\:

·         Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.

·         Mitigation of orbital conflicts.

·         Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.

·         Operations and maintenance of classified communications.

·         Software development and integration.

 

NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at\:

·         Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

·         Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado

·         Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska

·         Vandenberg Space Force Base, California

·         Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world

 

 

Description of Duties\:

The Logistics Specialist supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will\:

 

·         Have a basic understanding of logistics operations, including key warehouse functions such as receiving, issuing, tagging materials, and ensuring all materials are handled accurately and on time.

·         Be responsible for assisting with inventory tracking and helping to meet deadlines across all sites involved in the NISSC II contract. May occasionally need to make informed decisions in line with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

·         Have regular communication with customers, so clear communication and the ability to explain reports and spreadsheets is important.

·         Have strong time management and flexibility.

·         Be able to work well in a team and support the coordination of tasks to ensure smooth logistics operations under the NISSC II contract.

Basic Requirements\:

·         Must have 2 or more, years of general experience

·         Must have 6 months or more, years of direct experience

·         Must have or ability to obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

·         Be able to stock the product in the finished goods stock room in the correct location

·         Must be able to locate and annotate (in tracking programs) all required items

·         Package orders, and working proper shipment of items to meet deadlines

·         Assemble of various products as starter kits, development kits, etc.

·         Receive returned material "RMA's" into the system and forward paperwork and product to the appropriate person or department

·         Must be able to perform weekly cycle counts and the annual physical inventory.

·         Must know how to escort personnel in classified areas. (Must be knowledgeable in DoD escorting policies and procedures for escorting uncleared personnel in classified areas)

 

Desired Requirements\:

·         Attention to detail is a must, proper communication, and decision-making will be paramount to customer satisfaction.

·         Problem-solving, productivity and quality, self-development, and teamwork.

·         Have DPAS experience

·         Worked with eQuip system

 

This position is expected to pay $55,000 - $65,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
