Job Objective
Acting as an interface between internal and external customers, and all respective Planning Logistics staff at
plant. Responsible to ensure customer requirements are well understood and followed, and to communicate,
and negotiate with customers regarding operational objectives and/or constraints
Ensuring one face to the customer, since customer demand is received within plant until final product is delivered
to customer facilities
Improving delivery service level constantly while optimizing logistics costs
Training other Sales Planners in performing their daily, weekly and monthly tasks, and support them within
escalations, system settings and communication to customers. Guarantee correct master data and system
settings, and trigger constant process improvements
Ensure corporate guidelines as well as national and international law, regarding processing internal and external
customer orders and initiating their deliveries
Duties and Responsibilities
A Sales Scheduling
1 Processing complex external and internal customer orders through the whole process chain, as well as
monitoring Kanban control loops to the customer, or controlling consignment movements
2 Ensuring complex customer orders to be delivered to the customer, by setting daily, weekly and monthly
priorities for production planning in cooperation with internal positions impacting the production plan.
Raising awareness for customer call-off fluctuations and demand de- or increases effecting production
3 Ensuring customer satisfaction by communicating appropriately about delivery dates, current supply
situation, constraints, complaints, damages, or changes within drawing status
4 Clarifying root causes for delivery delays and communication of adapted delivery schedule to customer.
Joining customer visits for any operational clarifications
5 Clarifying root causes for inventory level differences in cooperation with responsible persons
6 Improving planning quality at plant by analyzing slow sellers and bottleneck devices and share information
with local planning team for optimization measures
7 Determining, entering and managing IT-based master data for area of responsibility
8 Actively checking customer portals for new logistics requirements, customer performance evaluations and
logistical claims, and trigger necessary actions
9 Contributing to achieve planned finished goods stock level for complex running projects, as well as
complex ramp-ups, phase-outs, relocations, and ECNs. Supporting also long-term demand planning &
capacity planning by informing proactively all internal planning positions relevant about customer
requirement changes

Supporting the determination of minimum or maximum order quantities of incoming parts, forming costeffective
batch sizes of components and finished goods
11 Improving delivery service level constantly, by optimizing logistics costs
12 Training other Sales Planners in performing their daily, weekly and monthly tasks, and support them within

17 Monitoring of system settings and master data, as well as customer delivery service levels for continuous
improvements
18 Aligning and clarifying new system- and process changes with Regional Logistics, starting of change
requests regarding the need of a system change
19 Supporting Regional Logistics in implementation of ESP-Process
20 Supporting Sales Planner regarding all tax and export relevant topics
B Project Management / Key User
1 Management and project lead for high complexity logistics projects from technical and organizational
perspective
2 Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring tasks within project teams by using defined methods and
systems
3 Preparing and further development of concepts for improving recording, analysis, modeling, presentation
and management of process-related data
4 Continuous monitoring of project success regarding time, budget and output quality and driving execution
of defined actions
5 Coaching and training of the project team and/or triggering additional trainings
6 Negotiating general logistics conditions with suppliers, service providers and customers (e.g. JIT/JIS
processes, turnaround periods, packaging in agreement with responsible departments
