Job Description
We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee the movement, distribution, and storage of products. The ideal candidate will plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries, manage logistics operations, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise the movement, distribution, and storage of productsPlan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveriesSupervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer servicesOrganize warehouse operations, label goods, plot routes, and process shipmentsRespond to issues or complaintsCollaborate with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operationsEnsure all import/export and warehouse operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and regulationsPrepare, share, and file logistics reportsMonitor and manage internal and external logistics personnel/partners for efficient and safe delivery of goodsImplement and enforce safety procedures and standardsPlan and track the shipment of finished goods/products according to customer requirementsResolve any arising problems or complaints related to logistics managementEnsure premises, assets, and communication channels are used effectivelyResearch and propose current technology options to optimize proceduresManage, recruit, and coordinate logistics staff according to availabilities and workloadCommunicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfactionEssential Skills5+ years prior experience working in related field ( import/export, shipping , logistics, supply chain, domestic freight)Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications. Advanced in Microsoft Excel is a plusInternational vendor experience (US, Canada, China)Contract negotiation skillsBS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply ChainAnalyze Data (shipping on time, lead times, carrier updates)
Work Environment
This is an on-site opportunity located in our office in Rockville, Maryland. We offer excellent group benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage. After a 90-day probationary period, there may be flexibility in the work schedule. There is potential for minimal travel (approximately 5%) primarily to our warehouse in Chicago. Relocation packages are considered for the right candidate.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37.50 - $44.24
