Logistics Supervisor

Orlando, FL (Onsite)

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and operational support activities.

In this position, you will also ensure alignment with organizational objectives, adherence to compliance standards, and optimization of warehouse processes while driving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Team Management: Supervise and assign tasks to the warehouse team, ensuring even workload distribution; Develop schedules and manage team performance based on established KPIs; Conduct regular team meetings to align goals and address operational challenges.Warehouse Operations: Oversee receiving, shipping, and inventory processes; Ensure adherence to ISO procedures and ATA300 packaging standards; Monitor and resolve day-to-day issues with freight carriers and customs; Lead the cycle count program to maintain inventory accuracy and support audit requirements.Operational Support: Manage and support all administrative components related to repair activities within the warehouse; Collaborate with Customer Service, Repair Shop, and Finance teams to minimize hold times and process delays; Monitor operational support KPIs, ensuring alignment with customer satisfaction goals; Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of operational workflows to enhance velocity and efficiency.Compliance and Reporting: Collaborate with Trade Compliance on import/export matters; Generate and analyze reports to track warehouse and operational support performance, identifying areas for improvement; Maintain and update process documentation for compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 standards.Process Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to improve warehouse and operational support workflows; Use Lean tools (e.g., GEMBA walks, PDCA) to enhance processes and resolve bottlenecks; Ensure proper tools and technology are available for efficient operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business fields with a minimum of 5-8+ years of experience or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business fields with 4+ years of experience.Prior Supervisory experience is required.Ability to manage and lead people in multiple functions is essential.Requires strong leadership skills, as well as strong organization skills are required.PC, Microsoft Office software (Word, Power Point and Excel).

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: Core Business Hours Monday-Friday and will occasionally involve working some Saturdays and Sundays.Physical Environment: Primarily a warehouse environment, with constant interaction with production, repair station and business support teams.  It will include ESD environment, forklift operations and bulk storage with interaction with electrical and mechanical repair equipment and techniciansPhysical Demands: Occasional need to be able to lift and move materials of 40 lbs.Travel: This position may require domestic travel 10%.Regulatory Compliance Requirements: None.
