\nAs a Logistics Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the efficient flow of goods, products, or services within our supply chain and distribution network. You will be responsible for managing logistics operations, coordinating transportation strategies, and implementing advanced shipping processes to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a seamless flow of materials and products, ensuring accuracy in inventory, and meeting customer expectations, and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency. You also will be responsible for the pick and pack and spare-parts business, meeting revenue expectations, and on-time-delivery goals.
You will report directly to our Senior Materials manager, and you'll work out of our Nebraska City, Nebraska location.
In this role, you will impact the company by ensuring efficient supply chain operations, reducing costs, and optimizing logistics processes. By ensuring timely deliveries and streamlining operations, you enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen the company's reputation. Moreover, your strategic insights and experience are essential in maintaining the company's competitiveness and adaptability in the ever-evolving landscape of supply chain and distribution. In essence, your role significantly contributes to the overall efficiency, financial strength, and sustained success of the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and oversee all aspects of logistics and distribution operations
• Coordinate transportation methods and select cost-effective and efficient options
• Negotiate contracts with carriers and logistics service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions
• Streamline shipping and distribution processes to minimize lead times and reduce transportation costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries
• Implement data-driven strategies to optimize logistics operations and adapt to market demands
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency of distribution processes
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to maintain a competitive edge
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and logistics partners to ensure reliable service
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to management on cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

YOU MUST HAVE
• 3+ years of proven experience in traffic and distribution management or related roles
• Strong familiarity with SAP
• Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices is a plus (hazmat, import/export, white glove, etc.)
• Experience with inventory management / materials handling (FIFO/LIFO, cycle counts, other best practices)
