Logistics Supervisor - Manufacturing

Position Overview: Siemens Industry is seeking a Logistics Supervisor for our Pomona, CA manufacturing facility. This growing facility, with over 100 employees, produces high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for the western United States market. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, final assembly, and testing. The Logistics Supervisor will oversee stockroom, inventory control, material handling, shipping, and receiving processes.

Responsibilities: Create daily resource plan effectively connect with team including logistics manager and head of supply chain Coordinate and manage stockroom, shipping, receiving, and replenishment activities Ensure timely unloading, receiving and put-away of incoming shipments Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits Ensure all products are properly stored and labeled Implement and maintain processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy Provide training and development opportunities for logistics associates Maintain inventory accuracy and assist in investigation of discrepancy root cause and drive corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy Ensure SAP bin locations are maintained Oversee shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality. Approve inbound delivery appointments through scheduling tool Communicate and coordinate with carriers for shipping and receiving requirements. Must master all SAP and PPG requirements for logistics and train employees Work with Inventory analyst and improve cycle count processes Assist physical inventory coordinator in annual physical preparation activities Coordinate with manufacturing engineering team to ensure the availability and functionality of material handling equipment Drive safety culture through consistent monitoring and safety one a days Must be able to hire, onboard and train Manage time and attendance, performance evaluations, and team. Drive continuous improvement processes and growth mind set culture for the logistics team Lead and supervise key performance indicators such as productivity, shipping & receiving cycle times, First Pass yield (DPMO), and safety indicators Work closely with customer service for any special shipments, shipping instructions or customer related information needed Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

3-5 years of experience supervising teams with at least 5 members 3-5 years of experience in logistics functions High School Diploma or GED required. Sophisticated knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential issues with discretion and diplomacy Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Proactive in completing daily tasks and achieving long-term goals

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration APICS Certification a plus Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel Macros Knowledge of lean manufacturing You’ll benefit from: Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
