Position is on-site in Chesapeake, VA. This is not a remote position.This role is not eligible for H-1B or other employment visa sponsorshipPrepare and execute the submission of US Customs Entries to ensure the timely release of cargo importing into some of the largest ports in the United StatesAnalyze and evaluate data flows from our customers into our operational systemsIdentify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continual improvement and evolutionWork within the multi-agency regulatory environment, ensuring that Customs declarations are prepared in compliance with all Partner Government AgenciesMeet or exceed performance goals and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)Utilize an array of specialized Expeditors software to increase the compliance and efficiency of our teamMeet company standards of 52 hours training per year per employeePromote compliance by diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and prideExemplify the company's 10 cultural attributes: Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary

QualificationsDriven and motivated individual desiring to embark on or continue a career in the exciting world of international logistics and global tradeUnderstanding of the importance of quality customer service and its effect on all facets of a successful business and brandExceptional collaborative skills working in a close-knit and competitive team of brokerage agentsProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and OneNoteProven ability to learn new software and utilize evolving technologiesUnderstanding and interest in the world of international logistics and global supply chainsProactive and organized approach to learning and executing on the jobA U.S. Customs Broker License is not required
