Job Summary:
To insure the accurate receipt of, accountability for, disbursement of material as well as accurate
preparation / shipment of finished goods. This should be done safely and efficiently while maintaining a
high level of product identification, lot control and FIFO. Job responsibilities will be completed in
compliance with the quality policy.
Major Responsibilities:
Must be able to operate a switcher tractor in an alert, safe and efficient manner moving trailers as
required.
Must be able to operate a fork lift and material handling equipment in an alert, safe and efficient
manner.
Must understand and follow the operator instructions for the area.
Must inspect incoming parts and outgoing shipments to insure compliance with Quality standards.
Accurate input of all departmental transactions related to inventory into the computer system.
Train to new associates by teaching knowledge and skills to improve overall department efficiency.
Completion of hourly tracking sheets and daily reporting, keeping detailed and legible notes on daily
activities.
Indirectly lead associates with the direction of the Team Leader.
Position associates in the area according to department needs.
Evaluate and adjust repacking of finished motors as required.
Evaluate packaging inventory and adjust accordingly.
Requires shift work and overtime.
Punctual presence (attendance and timeliness) on assigned work days.
Must be alert, working in an area with constant moving equipment.
Minor Responsibilities:
Requires teamwork and participation of company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001
and Employee Involvement.
Requires effective communication with team members and internal departments and related outside
resources.
Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform duties with minimal supervision.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, may require training for
additional material handling equipment.
Maintain 5’s standards: maintaining good housing keeping/cleaning throughout the department.
May require some travel.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent (must fulfill NC state or federal educational
requirements).
Must have and maintain a valid NC CDL driver’s license.
Successfully pass forklift training to receive forklift license
Key Competencies:
Must have proficient understanding and working knowledge of Personal Computer and strong
understanding of inventory management computer system.
Must have a proficient level of arithmetic skills to be able to complete, interpret and analyze charts
and graphs.
Must be able to read and demonstrate an understanding of operator instructions.
Must be able to write as demonstrated through the completion of the employment application.
Effective verbal, listening and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Requires constant standing and moving 8-12 hours per day
Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and kneel.
Must be able to apply up to 66lbs push/pull force unassisted.
Must be able to reach overhead.
Requires work in an environment with above and below normal temperatures.
