What this looks like:

3rd Shift starting pay: $24.35/hour (+ 8% Shift Premium)
3rd Shift: Sunday-Friday 10:15 pm - 6:15 am

Job Duties:

Liaison between team members and section managers.

First point of contact for questions related to employee job functions.

Performance of administrative functions and may be accountable for daily team PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, Cost) metric boards. 

Submit and assist with the resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards  

Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions   

Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area

Excellent communication skills

May communicate with cross-functional leaders.

Relies on independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks.

Maintaining safe and clean workstations within your assigned team ensuring a clean handoff to the next shift

Ensuring that all team members are following safety guidelines, including 5S

Ensure standard work is followed within the team and signed off on for each employee

Provide a fair and consistent work environment that promotes mutual respect

Ability to work OT when required

Lead team meetings guiding daily priorities

Train new and develop existing employees

Must meet deadlines

Ability to multitask and prioritize work

Contributing team member

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods;

Ability to perform repetitive operations;

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have some experience operating a forklift

Must have experience working in logistics or warehouse environment

Must have Intermediate Level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel 

Top Candidates will have:

Experience using Logistics Dashboards and Glovia functions

1 year of supervisory experience preferably in manufacturing/logistics.

Summary Pay Range:

$24.35 - $30.43

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
