As a Logistics Team Leader, you will be essential in overseeing and organizing domestic and international shipments. Your key responsibilities include managing shipping logistics and executing cross-border customs processes to ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations. You’ll work closely with various teams, including international partners, to support seamless global trade operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and manage domestic and international shipments. Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and brokers to arrange transportation. Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays or issues. Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists. Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations for cross-border shipments. Mange cross-border customs processes, including classification of goods and submission of necessary documentation. Communicate with customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance of shipments. Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and tariffs. Work closely with internal teams such as finance, supply chain, and sales to coordinate shipments and resolve issues. Liaise with international teams and partners to ensure alignment on shipping needs. Provide updates and reports on shipping statuses to stakeholders. Troubleshoot shipping issues, such as delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in documentation. Identify opportunities to streamline shipping processes and improve efficiency. Support implementation of logistics solutions and best practices. Assist in tracking and reconciling inventory in transit. Generate and analyze logistics performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement. Monitor shipping costs and suggest cost-saving measures. Review and approve carrier invoices for accuracy. Collect, organize, and analyze data related to our global logistics and transportation operations. Create and utilize data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Generate reports and present findings to support data-driven decision-making. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for global logistics activities. Monitor KPIs to assess performance, identify deviations from targets, and recommend corrective actions. Continuously improve the measurement and reporting of logistics performance. Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Skills and Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in supply chain operations, with a focus on international. Proficiency in international trade regulations and logistics. Familiarity in data analytics tools and software, such as Excel, Power BI (or similar), and other data visualization tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to self-manage time and performance against deadlines. Detail oriented and organized. Experience with Oracle EBS/Oracle Fusion Cloud is a plus.
