Job Title: Logistics Team Leader
Salary: £33,892 rising to £37,568 when role objectives are reached
Contract: Full time & permanent
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
The Opportunity:
As a Team Leader in Logistics, you motivate our employees who on our production line that build our world class products. You proactively ensure resources are used effectively to meet targets while maintaining highest safety standards.
What you will do:
As a Team Leader, you are accountable for, but not limited to:
Lead the team to meet the daily goals and continually monitor and audit Health and Safety, People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics within your span of control as per business goals.
Champion safe working practices and undertake training and further learning.
Generate and work on Continuous Improvement ideas for your assigned area using the Continuous Improvement (CI) process and maintain the skills matrix for the team to 100% versatility, ensure standard work is updated.
Participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) for Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost within your team operation.

What You Can Demonstrate:
People: Coach, motivate, evaluate, and recognise employees. Understanding the skills and experience of the team to highlight gaps and/or training/development needs and builds high performing teams.
Logistics Operations: Possess a good understanding of Logistics practices and knowledge of material systems
Safety: Proactive in managing safety standards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Foster psychological safety and team engagement, ensuring open communication and collaboration across diverse groups.
Process Improvement: Evaluates logistics methods and maintains focus, with team input, on promoting the continuous improvement of processes and products utilising lean, Six Sigma and drive innovation.
What You May Have:
Previous supervisory experience
A current Forklift Truck license
BSC Certificate in Risk Assessment Level 2
Relevant National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 2/higher or equivalent
First Stage Interviews wc 18 November and on-site face to face interviews wc 25 November
