The Logistics Technician III located at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) and Army Testing Evaluation Command (ATC) in Aberdeen, Maryland. This role will support a focus on Logistics Support Tasks to include but not limited to Equipment/Maintenance Management, and Property Management support.
Provide Lead logistics support to include but not limited to: Property Accountability; Shipping/Receiving Operations; Tool Crib Operations; Inventory/Issue; Weapons Management and Equipment Management Support for contract.Plans, coordinates and conducts logistics projects. Work requires professional knowledge of logistics principles, techniques and practices and logistics programs and issues.Prepares written plans, reports, schedules, and milestones as required.Outlines procedures, trains personnel as needed. Annually reviews the Internal Operating Procedures (IOP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and revises as needed with final government approval.Conduct inspections of facilities and operations to ensure compliance with Logistics regulations and safety.Participates in meetings regarding Logistics concerns related to assigned projects.Updates and maintains inventory records.Interfaces with the APO, the Assistant APO team members and Primary Hand Receipt Holders as required in a professional manner. Manages the accountability of durable items in area.Identifies excess and processes for turn-in with APO team in area.Confers with department sections to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and condition of materials. Locates and moves materials to specified production or storage areas.Performs other related work as assigned.Education
High School diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) certificate.Experience
Six (6) years of applicable experience in the appropriate logistical functional area pertinent to the position (Equipment Management, Maintenance Management, Property Management, Weapons Management/Armor); or an associate degree and four (4) years applicable experience pertinent to the position; or a bachelor’s degree and three (3) years applicable experience pertinent to the position.License, Cert or Registration
Must have current/valid drivers’ license. Must have proof of U.S. citizenship. Ability to satisfy a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.Special knowledge, skills, & abilities
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.Must be proficient in the use of computers and software to perform work (e.g., Microsoft Office) and general office equipment. Practice high standards of personal hygiene and maintain a clean, net appearance while on duty.
