JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Logistics & Trade Compliance Administrator is a support position within the Inter-company Supply Chain and Trade Compliance Team. This position assists with compliance strategy as well as logistics activities including, but not limited to material classifications for import and export regulations, freight cost analysis to support savings opportunities and compliance audits to prevent trade disruptions. The Trade Compliance Administrator will work pro-actively with cross-functional departments to prevent trade disruptions and to develop streamlined approaches to support the implementation of trade compliance and logistics policies.                                      

Essential Functions:                        

Assist and support the functional leads with the ongoing development of the trade compliance program                             Assist with commodity classifications under exportation and importation laws in regard to EAR, Schedule B and HTS codes.                                 Perform export documentation reviews pre- and post-shipment ensuring all regulatory classifications are provided correctly.                               Analyze and maintain data from SAP, TradeFlow, ACE and other compliance related information systems to support operational efforts.                           Effectively organize all entry packages – ensuring safe retention of the necessary customs documents as well as destruction of documents outside the required period.                            Assist in writing user documentation, instructions, and procedures – in particular, regarding logistic processes and US Customs compliance requirement.    Support quarterly internal trade compliance audits and ongoing assessments to ensure regulatory policies are followed. Manage action items and findings tracker.                                    Participate in cost savings activities for trade compliance and logistics.                              Assist and support the functional leads within the transportation group on the efficiency and execution of logistic services within the given BU budgets on a weekly/monthly basis.                         Support with correction of freight invoice errors, routing issues, loss & damage freight claims with carriers and freight forwarders.                            Other duties, as assigned.                             

                                                           

Skills and Competencies

 

Understands Basic trade compliance regulations and procedures. Demonstrates ability to perform basic tasks such as data entry and recordkeeping

 

           

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree                             

Degree Field:                        Business or Technical                        

Required Work Experience: 1-2+ Years of Relevant Experience
