Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive LOGIX MPRA Material Procurement Analyst to manage and streamline the process of government equipment requests. This role will oversee a team of analysts that are supporting this operation with daily tasks and issues that include submissions of RFQ’s to vendors and creating ROMs for customer review and approval. The ideal candidate is organized, skilled in vendor research, and has experience navigating government procurement processes.


The ideal person for this opportunity will be detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, a proactive problem solver with the ability to anticipate roadblocks and able to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
 

What You Will Do Perform all activities involved in the management of material procurement for PMA- 290 and PMA- 262 located at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division.  Oversee procurement team with daily tasks and issues that include submission of RFQs to vendors and creating ROMs for customer review and approval.  Coordinate RMAs for material under warranty and evaluations and repair for non-warranty material.  Ensure all procurements, short-fused and otherwise, are ordered quickly and accurately, and comply with contract requirements, and with corporate policies and procedures. Support the establishment of sourcing strategies, which include evaluation of sourcing alternatives, identifying the sourcing approach, and establishing project plans/timelines to deliver an effective sourcing solution.  Maintain good rapport with customers to understand their specific needs to ensure correct parts and products requested. Recommend feasibility of proposed approaches to solve logistical or procurement problems. Weekly meetings with suppliers to discuss Estimated Delivery Dates (EDD’s) and any other issues that may impact the customer. Coordinate with material buyers and project/program personnel to ensure all required documentation is received for processing of purchase requisitions/orders to include sole source justification as required, Statements of Work, milestone payment information as applicable, and any documentation required to meet unique or special requirements. Evaluate the performance of certain vendors to determine whether to continue buying from them. Provide monthly forecast that tracks milestone payments and invoices due on delivery.  Provide customer with weekly procurement reports and last-minute data calls as needed. Submit weekly quote expirations and dollar value to Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for all upcoming and pending purchases.
  What We Are Looking For 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience. Experience in government procurement processes and familiarity with vendor management. Previous experience support DoD or other government customer.  Familiarity with creating ROMs and managing vendor quotes. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software/tools. Ability to multitask and manage multiple requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain at least a Secret clearance.
  Preferred: Bonus Points For Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with government contracts and compliance standards. Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and guidelines (e.g., FAR). Clearance: Possess and maintains a Secret clearance.
