Wide range of knowledge of various texts to support instruction around reading, writing and speaking/presenting. Position Summary/Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that adheres to research-based literacy practices and standards using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence based interventions. Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and potential areas for improvement through various reports including RTIM Direct. Support staff in understanding Science of Reading research, Active View of Reading and lead professional development opportunities for building-level staff. Engage in department and PLC meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and fulfill assigned teaching duties.
