Who we’re looking for:
Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in the automotive industry? OPENLANE, a leader in automotive remarketing, is looking for a Full-time Lot Assistant with experience in coordinating vehicle inventory. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working at a dealership or similar organization, controlling vehicle inventory, handling the vehicle repossession process, including cleaning out personal property from vehicles once they arrive, and preparing vehicles for transport.

Safe. We care about safety and you should too. You will operate a variety of motor vehicles safely, per our driver safety procedures while being mindful of your surroundings.
Organized. You are responsible for maintaining an organized and orderly lot to ensure efficient operations, including completing regular inventory scans.
You Will:
Help facilitate the repossession process for customers' vehicles once they arrive at the VLC (Vehicle Logistics Center), ensuring the vehicle has all personal property removed and is stored correctly in inventory.
Prepare vehicles for auction and remarketing: This includes ensuring they're in working order (boosting, adding gas, addressing lockouts, preparing for towing, filling tires), staging for reconditioning or transport, and moving, marking, and flagging as instructed.
Manage vehicle check-in and check-out: Accurately record services provided, complete inspections of arriving vehicles, photograph vehicles post-reconditioning, and enter vehicle data into the AMS database.
Maintain lot organization and safety: Ensure an organized and orderly lot, assist customers and internal departments in retrieving vehicles, and operate vehicles safely under various weather conditions.
Provide site security support: Maintain auction perimeter and ensure proper clearance for entry and exit of personnel, customers, and transporters.
May assist with: Data entry for MOS and other systems, snow removal (clearing vehicles, light shoveling, operating plow truck, bobcat, loader, etc.)
Must be willing and able to work in all kinds of weather, including severe weather, cold winter temperatures, rain, and summer heat.
You Have:
Valid Drivers’ license is required with a clear driving record
Basic computer & smartphone skills required
Customer service and communication skills
Nice to Have:
Bilingual in English and French
Ability to drive both standard & automatic transmissions
Qualified/Experienced in operating plow trucks, bobcats, loaders, and/ or tow trucks
licensed to operate motorcycles or ATVs
