We have an exciting, fast-paced position available in our Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) in Kalaeloa to inspect and prepare purchased vehicles for transport and delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Inspect and photograph vehicles for damage at the pierStage vehicles to ensure efficient loading onto car carrier trucksShuttle vehicles on the lot and to/from remote storage locations and service bays for techniciansPrepare vehicles for delivery to dealerships by removing metal ties and plastic coating on vehicles from hood, roof, trunk, and rimsMaintain vehicle key files and accurately document location of vehicles on the lotEnsure that vehicles are properly fueledCharge dead batteries and change flat tires as neededOther duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalentPrevious auto work experience preferredValid driver’s license and good driving recordMust obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card within one month of start date in order to work at VPC (manager will assist with this process)Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission for a variety of vehicle sizesStrong communication skills and ability to write legiblyTeam player with a dedication to customer service excellenceWork schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pmAbility to work overtime hours in a fast-paced environment including evenings and Saturdays, as needed

Advancement opportunities:

An entry-level Lot Attendant is paid a competitive hourly wage, with opportunities to advance into positions such as Detail Helper, Parts Delivery Driver, Parts Warehouse Person, Lube Tire Helper or Auto Technician roles.  Note:  In order to qualify for an Auto Technician position, an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology is required, so we recommend looking into this degree early on if this is the career path that you are interested in pursuing.
