This position will be assigned as a swing DSR for the entire Region 3 geographical area. This region includes 22 counties in Northeast Iowa. The selected applicant will need to reside in one of the following counties: Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Chickasaw, Franklin, Butler and Bremer. The Lottery Division provides responsible entertainment and prizes to the public, generating revenue for state programs, including support for veterans, economic development, law enforcement, education and agriculture. In this position you will: + Act as a representative for the state Lottery relating to the sales, marketing, and promotion of Lottery tickets + Travel to retail outlets in the assigned region to distribute Lottery tickets and point of sale promotional materials + Develop and establish sales promotions at retail outlets + Maintain security of Lottery tickets at all times and explains proper handling of Lottery tickets to retail outlets to ensure a secure selling environment at each of the retail locations + Analyze retailer sales data to optimize the promotion and sales of Lottery tickets at retail outlets + Backup the regional office with various daily regional office duties Because this position will service a designated geographical area, this employee will need to live in one of the counties of our Region 3 area. You must also be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license to be eligible for this position.
