Job Summary:

We are seeking mid-career to senior level Materials Engineers to join the Signature Management & Technology Team.  At Raytheon, you will be part of a team whose responsibilities span the full product life-cycle: from requirements alignment, conceptual design, modeling and analysis, component/vehicle level RCS testing, and production integration, support, and maintainability.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

Ten (10) years of engineering experience in LO materials engineering

Must have an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.

Demonstrating a strong foundation in, coupled with the aptitude for further development in:

-Material characterization, performance testing and prediction, and/or design experience

-Material down-select and integration on to airframe

-Customer and supplier collaboration

.Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

High temperature LO materials characterization, testing, and integration

Experience with intrinsic property analytical techniques for the electromagnetic characterization of material

Competence in utilizing thermal analysis techniques (DMA, TMA, TGA, DSC) properties.

Agile communicator, with effective interaction style that fosters collaboration with a multi-disciplined team, suppliers, and customers.

Skilled at planning, prioritizing, and executing projects/programs to successful completions

Proposal Writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development experience.

CAD software proficiency and technical programming experience  (Python, C++, MATLAB, etc.)

Experience with Infrared signature analysis and control

A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or

systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a

minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
