SHIFT/HOURS:
Flexible hours with preferred availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Schedule varies based on surgical case load, with additional shifts available as needed for call-offs.

Responsibilities:

Functions as a member of the healthcare team, using nursing judgment, knowledge, and experience. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care through focused assessments. Communicates with licensed professionals when patient care needs exceed the LPN’s scope or expertise. Seeks guidance and supervision when implementing new or unfamiliar procedures. Follows UPMC policies, LPN Practice Guidelines, and the State Practice Act. Collaborates to create a healing environment within the framework of Relationship-Based Care. Formulates and communicates individualized care plans and goals for patients. Provides comprehensive patient documentation and contributes to patient safety and satisfaction goals. Offers patient and family education, supporting care transitions and continuous professional improvement. Builds positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, and maintains a healthy work-life balance.
