How you will make an impact: Licensed Practical Nurse: Provide safe and effective nursing care in their assigned work area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Hills Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Nursing Department. Performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders. Works with multidisciplinary team members to promote and restore patients' health by assessing patients, planning for their care, and providing physical and psychological treatment. Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a LPNn psychiatric nursing preferred. Licensure: Currently has an unencumbered license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Must maintain a valid driver's license preferred. Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR/BLS Certification. Training: Successful completion Handle With Care and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours Must demonstrate basic computer literacy.
