Adecco Healthcare & LifeSciences is currently looking to hire a skilled LPN for their client in Newark ,NJ location . **Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)** **Job Type -Temp (3months with possible extension)** **Shift Hours – 8am to 5pm (M-F)** **Pay – 35-40/HRS** **Job Description:** We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, assisting physicians with examinations, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the healthcare setting. As an LPN, you will play a critical role in maintaining patient flow, ensuring high-quality care, and supporting our clinical team. **Key Responsibilities:** + Maintain examining rooms in proper order by ensuring cleanliness, neatness, and adequate medical supplies. + Clean medical/surgical instruments and maintain inventory at appropriate levels. + Perform routine laboratory maintenance to state standards, including controlling equipment, documenting temperatures for refrigerators and freezers (AM/PM). + Assist the physician with patient examinations as necessary, including performing venipuncture, EKGs, and taking vital signs (triage). + Administer immunizations and injections as directed. + Ensure proper patient flow by checking in with the front desk and monitoring the waiting room area. + Notify the Office Manager of any schedule delays, irregularities, or issues. + Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling patient appointments, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries. + Provide patient education and counseling, either in-person or over the phone. + Document patient information accurately in the medical record. + Complete medical forms, such as school forms and immunization records, as required. + Maintain medical records according to established policies and procedures. + Sterilize and properly manage medical equipment and instruments. + Oversee and manage medical inventory and supply levels. + Handle EMR correspondence for physicians, patients, and other healthcare providers. + Monitor patient flow and communicate effectively with clinical staff to address any concerns or issues that arise during patient visits. **Qualifications:** + Current and valid LPN license for NJ state. + Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred. + Knowledge of medical terminology, basic medical procedures, and healthcare regulations. + Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and team members. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in basic clinical procedures, including venipuncture, EKGs, and vital sign measurement. + Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and scheduling systems is a plus.
