Summary:
Works in collaboration with and is responsible for the delivery of patient care to assigned patients, provides care for clients as ordered including IV infusions, infusion pumps, and tube feedings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Identifies, implements, and maintains appropriate teaching plans for patient and caregivers under direction of a Registered Nurse. Follows plan of care and collaborates with Registered Nurse regarding patient response to treatment and change in status. Utilizes nursing knowledge in the administration of medication and evaluation of effectiveness when applicable. Requires Intravenous Therapy (IV Therapy Certification) to administer IV medications and must pass annual competencies deemed appropriate to support clinical skills and knowledge by BayCare.
