LPN Role Overview:
Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vitals Recording & updating patient medical histories in electronic medical records software Phone Triage using critical clinical judgement.Delivering results to patients as providers direct.Performing in-clinic routine tests, screening and point of care testing such as blood draws, EKGs Orthostatic Blood Pressures, Strep, COVID and FLU Nasal and Oral TestsScheduling and assisting with external routine screening and diagnostic tests such as mammograms, colorectal screenings, echocardiograms, and bone density screenings.Medication adherence and refilling medicationsPreparing and administering medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider Counseling patients on medication and special diets Wound care and changing dressings Sterilizing and cleaning equipment and ensuring maintenance of examination rooms Collaborates closely with physicians and nurses to ensure top level patient care Highly accurate in collecting phlebotomy samples from senior-aged patients
Required Qualifications
Current licensure as an LPN or LVNPhlebotomy experienceReliable transportationMed adherence/refilling medsThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Excellent customer serviceStrong clinical backgroundThe ability to adapt and work in multiple clinical settingsStrong sense of engagement to be a team playerExperience in a fast pace/high volume environmentMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
