Assures and assists in provision of optimum quality patient care by serving as resource person for other staff members, patients and family.Coordinates patient care with registered nurse and other departments.Assists the physician.Performs data collection and obtains patient information.Assists the RN with patient care.Intervenes with appropriate action after needs are identified.Evaluates the assignment, planning and intervention process.Demonstrates professional and personal development.Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.Reports to: Department Director
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education:Graduate of a Program in Discipline - RequiredRequired Skills:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days.Required Licenses:[West Virginia, United States] OtherCurrent licensure by the WV State LPN Board
