As an LPN in one of our Primary Care Clinics, you will use your nursing knowledge and skills to assist with providing timely, effective and efficient patient-centered care. Every day, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones, all while taking advantage of the countless professional and educational resources offered by Cleveland Clinic. **A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, physician, optometrist and/or podiatrist, perform patient care activities and complete required documentation for patients of all ages. + Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about the patient. + Contribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and report all data to the RN or authorized directing health care provider. + Implement the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider. + Document and verbally communicate the patient's response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests. + Contribute to the revision of the nursing plan of care + Provide education and information to patients and family members. + Maintain professional growth and development within nursing field. + Participate in the departmental orientation of new caregivers in a positive manner, share knowledge and experiences, and provide guidance when assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing + Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of patient care experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
