The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers direct patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse by assessing planning, implementing, and evaluating. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. He/she recognizes, reports and documents clinical observations. The Licensed Practical Nurse participates in the orientation and training of personnel.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current LPN licensure in the State of Alabama. BLS, PALS, PEARS, ACLS required within the orientation period.
