About the Position As the Assisted Living Nursing Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for the planning, coordination, and direction of Assisted Living and Memory Support on a designated shift in order to provide and maintain a high level of quality resident care. You will be a clinical resource person who coordinates communication with physicians in order to direct resident care on a designated shift. You will be directly responsible for the quality of nursing care administered to residents within clinical areas of responsibility. You will also actively support the nursing process to maintain quality resident care and evaluate the level of care. Key Duties Conducts rounds to clinical areas to determine conformity to standards of resident care, adherence to GHI policies and objectives, as well as state and federal regulations. Manages the schedule to ensure adequate staffing, projecting out over the next month as well as on a day-to-day basis. Is responsible to fill vacancies. Collaborates with Charge Nurse and other health professionals in planning health care regimens and delegates nursing interventions as appropriate and makes appropriate referrals when beyond scope of practice. Educates staff and residents through sharing of information and through promotion of teaching as a basic nursing responsibility. Assists the Administrator in disciplinary problems and performance appraisal and goal setting. Job Requirements Current RN/LPN license in state of residence required. Must have a minimum of two years nursing experience. Must emphasize commitment to continued professional development through independent reading and study and through self-motivate participation in continuing education. CPR certification required. Must possess ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff and family members. A sampling of our many benefits!
