Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, and according to established policies and procedures,
Administrative LPN Unit Coordinator: Works with and coordinates the training of other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain educational requirements and professional standards. Is responsible for the ongoing assessment of Quality Assurance (QA)/Infection Control (IC) activities for the long-term care center, including such activities as developing measures for assuring quality resident care and resident classification systems. Work is of a confidential nature.
LPN Unit Coordinator 7a-3p shift: Work is of a confidential nature. Assumes overall responsibility for nursing staff on a specific shift in order to ensure quality nursing care for the residents. Work is of a highly confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
Graduation from a Nursing Education program and unrestricted or active current NC or multistate LPN licensure required. The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of adolescent, adult and geriatric residents. CPR certification required and provided.
