LPS Assistant (Co-op) - Afternoon Shift

S&C is continuing to grow.  Where do you come in?  We are looking for a knowledgeable Co-op student to join our team as a Lean Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and wants to gain valuable work experience.

Work Term: Spring/Summer 2025 (4 months: May - Aug) or (8 months: May - December)

Work Arrangement:  On-site, 4 days per week
Shift: Aft Shift (Mon - Thurs, 4pm - 2am) 

As a Lean Performance Systems Assistant, you will

Conduct time studies. Analyze current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. Understand and help with the standard work method development. Support in the 5S blitz’s and prepare documents. Support in the Kaizen activities and standard work Contribute to the culture of Continuous Improvement. Support identifying Identify wastes and implement process improvements  Implement improvement actions by supporting the change in the teams. Other duties as assigned.

Who are we looking for? Someone who 

Pursuing a Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree or related field in a post-secondary institution Is registered and eligible for the Spring/Summer 2025 co-op work term Has strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity Is detail oriented. Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision. Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
