Production Clerk
The Production Clerk position is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within the facility, prepare work and production schedules and monitor the progress of production and construction projects. Primarily accountable for filling requisitions for specialized or diversified line or apparatus with knowledgeable of all phases of production work. In addition, responsible for drawing on resources within the organization providing estimated product completion information. This position may be involved in schedule preparation and or shipments.

Performance Expectations
Compile detailed worksheets and specifications from customer orders. Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour needed for production, construction and other projects. Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner. Meet regularly with other relevant personnel to coordinate activities between facilities and production floors. Coordinate and monitor the movement of parts, supplies and materials within an establishment. Prepare and maintain various reports on the progress of work, materials used, rates of production and other production information. Support in maintaining the computerized Inventory Control System in conjunction with manual data entry. Track and maintain proper and complete daily log reports on discrepancies for resolutions. Update daily production QB into AS400 system and daily inventory non-QB transactions via inventory transfers (i.e.: NCR; Shipment Req Forms; Goods return forms). Prepare weekly analysis report for Materials Supervisor detailing causes of error. Continuously update cycle count matrix with changes in part numbers. Prepare Monthly Cycle Percentage Summary. Verifying accuracy of system with daily cycle counting using the cycle counting calendar (ABC’s). Complete requisition forms to order materials needed for each job. Calculate average production rates to schedule and plan work. Analyze production statistics drawing conclusions about efficiency of production methods. Interact with clients on phone and in-person to provide service.
