Role overview:
The primary focus of this position is to ensure the successful implementations of the Lear Production System (LPS). This involves all LPS hardware, software, and configuration to ensure on-time cost effective solutions.
LPS is a proprietary manufacturing execution system written in-house. The main function of LPS is to communicate with shop floor devices on the production line to a defined build process, ensuring results and safety critical data are captured and recorded for future reference.
This job can be based in any of our JIT facilities in Spain – Epila (Zaragoza) or Valls (Tarragona)
Main Responsibilities:
Provide project planning, reporting and deployment of future LPS implementations assigned to you throughout defined Region. To engage with Plant IE team to perform analysis of the build process and production line operation and convert into a technical specification for the setup and configuration of LPS requirements. Responsible for assisting the Plant project manager in planning implementation/upgrading of LPS. To develop installation plans for the implementation of LPS with the Plant team. To develop and execute test plans of LPS operation prior to installation. To train the Plant team in the operation of LPS and capability to perform future configuration changes. To drive standardization, monitoring and documentation of LPS processes. To identify enhancements to support Plant requirements and future development of the system, and submit change request to LPS development team. Perform testing of LPS enhancements prior to delivery to Plant. Provide second level support of existing installations throughout the Region providing helpdesk support and problem resolution. Perform technical analysis of identified problems through to resolution working closely with the Plant. Work closely with users and other project team members. Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the Plant organisation, senior internal and external personnel. Be an active member of the global LPS team.
Key skills and Qualifications:
Strong technical background. Experience with software support and deployment Knowledge of production processes and procedures. Knowledge of PLC functionality and capabilities. To be able to formulate logical statements of system computing problems and devising solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies – Windows Server, IIS, SQL server and reporting services. Basic Microsoft Office knowledge Basic experience with technical training and technical presentations Basic project management experience
