We are looking for a Software/Firmware development Engineer within LPSC/RDC for developing part qualification tester and repair methods. Role and responsibilitiesDevelop part repair methodology / tooling / process
Develop part qualification tester / qualification process in cooperation with DnE and outsourcing party
Create repair work instruction and operation manual for tester
Align / collaborate with DnE on all the technical things
Find / manage the outsourcing of development activities
Improve the quality of part repair closely working with repair engineer
Improve the repair cost margin by recycling the harvesting components and using localized components
Resolve production issues escalated through IRM process in cooperation with repair engineers and CS engineers.
Support rollout of new local repair activities across the world such as Taiwan, China, USA and others
Education and experienceBachelor or Master Technical University graduate in Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics and Computer engineering etc.
At least 5 years of development experience in SW application under Linux environment Or,
At least 5 years of development experience in software (ex. C, C++, C#, Python, NI Labview, others…) programming with hardware background in electronic or mechatronic Or,
At least 5 years of development experience in test equipment or measuring instrument communication programming (ex. RS-232, TCP/IP, UDP communication protocol) or in device drivers
SkillsUnderstand / interpret system schematics and SW algorithm
Understand / interpret SW source code made by MS C++ or Python or NI Labview program
Understand and experience in machine learning & deep leaning
Understand and experience in OS / Kernel / Device driver / API
Capable of dealing with a broad range of technical subjects
Strong technical leadership in part repair and testing to improve the quality
Good verbal and written language skills in English
Focused on quality, continuous improvement with cost-reduction mindset
Highly motivated team player with good social and communication skills
