Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join us. In this role, you will make meaningful contribution to the commercial success of our Biosciences Division within the Life Sciences Solution Group. You will provide oversight and support to our global OEM teams, playing a vital role in planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and closing exercises. With your strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like PowerBI, you will help craft the future of our business areas and drive profitability and customer satisfaction. This position offers high-visibility impact on our diverse customers, providing you with valuable regional and global experiences and opportunities for professional growth.
What you will do:
Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews, as well as annual operating plans, STRAP (Strategic Operating Plan) through tactical objectives.Collaborate with OEM global, regional and business leadership to share insights and drive improved outcomesDrive process improvement initiatives by proactively finding opportunities, implementing streamlined workflows, and introducing innovative solutions to enhance the current financial operationsUse visualization tools such as a PowerBI to undertake ad-hoc analysis to support management decisionApply large financial datasets to build predictive models and lead on exploratory data analysis for complex business / data and problem solvingHow you will get here:
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance field.Experience
8+ years of relevant working experience.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proven experience in commercial FP&A with strong financial acuity, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysisDemonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive process improvements without constant supervisionOrganized multitasker who excels in prioritizing workloads in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong team building skills working with a diverse group of people, even if geographically dispersedAble to deliver high quality effective presentation to communicate complex topicsExcellent skills with MS Excel are requiredBenefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
