LSP Site Supervisor

Position Overview:

Under direction, assists in the management and operation of limited secure facility, including the care, custody, safety and welfare of juveniles held at facility.

Responsibilities include: carrying out, interpreting, coordinating and enforcing existing institutional policies and procedures for the program; problem solving; preparing, approving, reviewing and maintaining institutional records and reports. This position requires flexible hours and will require working some nights, weekends and holidays. Must be willing to be on-call based on needs of program. Site Supervisor has supervisory oversight of LSP Shift Supervisors and all program Control Room Specialists.

 

The Site Supervisor shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Site Supervisor is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The specialist is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents. 


Position Qualifications:

A degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work preferably in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, social work, public administration and (3) years of relevant and verifiable supervisory experience while providing care, security and counseling to youths and young adults in a juvenile justice setting.
