Job Description:

We’re looking for a LTC Care Manager to join our Insurance Operations team at MBPS. In this role, you are responsible for using clinical expertise to assess clinical information on low to moderate exposure claims consistent with current business protocols.  Accountable for ensuring the accuracy of the clinical evidence to compare against policy or plan language in order to determine benefit eligibility on LTC claims.  This role exists to ensure that only those policyholders meeting their policy’s criteria for eligibility remain approved.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess clinical needs to determine eligibility for long-term care benefits and make benefit eligibility determinations based on onsite/virtual assessments, functional/cognitive screening forms and/or other clinical evidence on ongoing claims .

Monitor ongoing claims for high-risk activity and set clinical follow-up dates based on protocols.

Complete required training to stay updated with protocols and guidelines.

Collaborate with other business units and senior care management staff to ensure accurate decision-making and provide optimal customer service.

Participate in one-on-one meetings, staff meetings, and other work activities as directed by management.

Qualifications:

Educational and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Must be a registered nurse in both the Philippines and the US (any state) with active professional licenses.

Experience and Expertise: Theoretical knowledge in geriatric care and cognitive screening forms like Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA), St. Louis University Mental Status Exam (SLUMS) and other cognitive screening tool. Experience in the Long-Term Care industry and geriatric nursing is preferred; BPO experience is a plus.

Skills and Abilities: Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work both autonomously and within multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and customer interaction.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to easily learn new computer applications.
